What works for someone else may not work for you

One way may work for them but that doesn't mean it will work for you. It simply means you have to find a way that works for you. Just like certain plants can only thrive in certain climates. So don't open an orange grove farm in Alaska. Don't give up on something just because it is harder than you thought it would be. Step back and think about what you need to do to make it work and work as hard as it takes to get it done. The saying goes... Someone who says it can't be done will never get it done. Stop saying you can't and figure out how you will do it. Sometimes you have to be willing to bend like a pretzel in order to do it.
