Not just another year
It is that time of year when we reflect on where we have been and where we plan to go in the New Year. You need to learn what you can from all the negative issues that have happened in 2012 then "Just Flush It" out of your mind. Don't let what stunk in 2012 stink up one moment of 2013. It's a NEW Year, a NEW Day and the start of a NEW Life so don't bring any issues from last year that will make it the SAME Life just a Different Year. If you want a different Life then do things Differently this Year. Happy New Year!

Before it can do anymore damage
Forgiving someone who has hurt you does not mean that all is forgotten. It simply means that you made a decision to not let what they did hurt you anymore. Take all the hard painful experiences from your past and "Just Flush It" out of your mind before it can do anymore damage. If the thought pops back up in your mind then learn how to "Just Flush It" at a quick glance. Forgiveness is the first step on your journey to make room for "peace of mind" to get in. Forgiveness is something you do for yourself.

Pictures keep it fresh on your mind
After the garbage bags are taken out and the dishes are done you will be able to relax while you reflect on the memories that you created this Holiday Season. The memories flood in at a slower pace then the fast chaotic speed at which they were happening in real time. You will smile as the visions of all the happy smiles come one by one with each moment that you replay in your mind. Knowing that as time goes by these memories will be stored away you can grin from ear to ear knowing the pictures you took will help bring them fresh on your mind to enjoy another day.

Have a Merry Christmas Everyone
May we all have a safe and Merry Christmas this year as well as "peace of mind" to help us face the challenges of the 21st century as we ring in the New Year. Treasure the moments you spend with family and friends this Holiday Season and be sure and take pictures because they will help you remember them as your memories fade. Christmas comes just once a year and for some it is the only time that their familiy and friends are around so enjoy all the love and joy while you can.

You just feel it
When you find the perfect gift for someone you just feel it. Sometimes it is hard to wait for Christmas for them to open it. When that moment comes Christmas morning you can barely contain your smile as they begin to open your gift. Your eyes are focused on their face to see the excitement on their face as they see what treasure is inside. Suddenly you will both grin ear to ear and you see the same look and feeling in their eyes as you had when you found the perfect gift for them.

Occupy your mind
I tried to occupy my mind as I waited in the drive thru at my bank which was very long here just days before Christmas. I went over the gifts that I had gotten for others in my mind and it brought a smile as I thought of the bargains I had gotten this year and how it will bring them a smile from ear to ear. I went over the menu of our Holiday Meal. I could see it so vividly that my belly began to growl. I began thinking about the house filled with Family in their festive attire and the joy on their faces brings me a warm feeling.... then it was my turn at the teller.

Your greatest gift of all
As you add the ribbon and bow to each gift it becomes a decoration. When you put lights on the Christmas Tree it goes from forest green to a mesmorizing sparkly enchanted forest. As you shop for your Christmas meal that will warm their bellies you must not forget about the desserts that will melt in their mouth. Most of all as you gather to spend time with those you love make sure you arrive all holly and jolly to spread your gift of joy which will be your greatest gift of all.

That's not what Christmas is about
Buying things for people that they don't need nor do they want just because it is Christmas is NOT what Christmas is about. Going into debt to buy it means you can't afford to buy it and that makes it a burden on your finances and that is NOT what Christmas is about. Baking an extra pie or baking cookies and bringing it to someone will warm their bellies and their hearts NOW that is what Christmas is all about. Spreading the feeling of Christmas without giving till it hurts financially NOW that's what Christmas is about.

How many can you do in twelve days?
This Holiday Season see how many random acts of kindness you can do the last twelve days before Christmas. Write them down each day. Now I am not talking buy them something I mean open a door for someone, pick up something they drop or reach for a item too high for someone in a store. Give a compliment to a store clerk, a drink of water to your Lawn man or simply send them a smile as you pass by to hug their face as their natural instinct will be to smile back at you. Even not yelling at your family and friends when you want to scream you can write down and count as a random act of kindness cause it is.

For a kid of any age
It is beginning to look and feel like Christmas everywhere you go. Although the stores are crowded the bright colored jolly decorations and Christmas music playing softly helps you feel calm inside. What a joy it is to watch the faces of children light up with a glow as they walk around in amazement as they walk through the decorated stores. The adults shopping in the toy section for gifts (or so they say) are sure jolly as they get to push all the buttons and explore all the toys and let the kid in them come out and play without looking crazy. Christmas time is a jolly time for a kid of any age.

Open the lid and out comes the kid.
As I drag out all the Christmas boxes of decorations I think about all the hard work ahead that it will take to get it all up. As I lift the heavy containers I seem to wear myself out before I even open the first box and get started. Strangely enough though once I open the first lid and see all the bright happy colored treasures from out of no where I get so excited and full of energy. When I open the lid out comes the kid in me to play with all the musical toys and the joyful feeling gives me the energy to tear quickly through the boxes searching for all the treasures buried inside.

You don't have to.....
You don't have to be a doctor to make someone feel better..... Laughter is the best medicine and you can give it away without a degree. You don't have to be a mechanic to help a stranded motorist..... Help to change a tire or jumper cables may be all they need. You don't have to agree with someone in order to respect them...... We should simply agree to respect each others right to their own opinion. You don't have to be nice to anyone today..... But it sure would be nice if you were.
