Calling all Humans
As Humans it has never been necessary to "Teach Compassion." At times it feels like we are surrounded by zombies in society. Walking among us are zombies by the sense that they have no empathy for others. Without empathy to help guide us to have a civil society we take the "Human" out of "Humanity" and the "ity" that you will be left with is the "insanity" that we see in "society." Please teach the "Habit of Humanity" to stop the "insanity" we see in "society"

Don't squint your eyes
What you will discover on your Life's Journey will depend on what you look for along the way. With your eyes wide open you will see endless opportunities that you can explore on your journey. If your "point of view" is limited then you will see only a limited number of opportunities along your way. Don't squint your eyes on the "Roller Coaster of Life" keep your eyes wide open so you can see all the opportunities and grab the ones you want. Opportunities may come your way but if you don't see them you won't grab on to them. Opportunities are never lost they are taken by someone else who saw them.

Buy now so you can relax later
I know it seems way to early to talk about Christmas but... When I was out shopping recently I walked past an item that was on clearance for 80% off and in my head popped the thought "That sure would be the perfect gift for Curtis, too bad it is not near Christmas Time." Instantly I turned around and bought Curtis his Christmas present in June. Come Christmas Time I will avoid those Holiday Crowds and relax as I wrap that perfect gift. So as you shop throughout the year getting 50-80% off now will not only save you time and money it will make it a Present for you so you can relax in December.

No where around to be found
Make sure those that you surround yourself with are those you would want to have around if you should ever need a helping hand one could be found. A fair weather friend will not lend a hand. When the going gets tough for you they will be going on to find fair weather elsewhere as soon as rough times roll your way. They may be fun to be around at times but they will be nowhere around to be found to lend you a hand if you get knocked down.

That's like a bridge being halfway built
If you do it right the first time you won't have to do it a second time. There also may not be a second time so you should do it right the first time. It makes no sense to rush just so you can say "I did it." You can only say "you did it" if you did it right and it won't have to be redone. That's like a bridge being built half way to the other side then you stop. No matter how well what you built was made it won't help anyone from either side. When there is something that you must get done and you find yourself rushing just to say it's done remember the bridge isn't done till you can get from one side to the other.

"No pain, No gain"
It is hard to explain to those you are trying to inspire to make a fresh start when the truth is a Life worth living takes a lot of hard work. Doing the right thing to stay on track is hard but your hard work will get you where you want to be. It is easy to get thrown off track making Life harder as it will lead you to no where. It is much easier to pay attention as you are on your Life's Journey so you can bend and twist to stay on track then it is to get lost on a bumpy road that leads to no where. The phrase "No pain, No gain" is not just referring to physical exercise it is also describing your Life's Journey.

"Tools" don't help if you don't use them
You may have a lot of Love in your Heart but can anyone else feel it? You may have good thoughts and good intentions but it won't do anyone any good if you don't do what you intended to do. You may have a great idea but if you don't do what it takes to make that idea a reality then in reality you will have no idea what could have been a great idea. You may have all the "Tools" you need to get the job done but you got to use them to "Get "R Done."

So you can get up and Just Do It
If you don't believe it is possible then for you it can not possibly happen. It does not mean that it can't possibly happen it simply means that you won't try because you don't believe it is possible. Believing something is possible is the first step for anyone. If you never take the first step then it will obviously be impossible for you. Believe me when I tell you that if you don't believe in yourself then you just possibly could be your worst enemy. You must believe you can do it so you will get up and Just Do It.

They see treasure not trash
One mans trash is another mans treasure. As you get older you understand that saying as well as other old sayings you had heard growing up yet at the time they had no meaning. You just figured it was just something they said until one day you figure out it's meaning. If you have a useful item that you don't need don't throw it in the trash or trash your house storing things you don't need. If you know someone who needs it give it to them. I like to fill my car with all the stuff I don't need and go to yard sales and giving it to the first person who seems to need the money from the sale of my items. You talk about being surprised and happy. It sure makes me smile as they see treasure when I gave them what to me was unneeded trash.

So we can all choose
You don't have to understand let alone agree with someone's point of view or their opinion to respect their right to have a different opinion or point of view than you. You may not like the choices they have made but as long as you are free to choose for yourself then you can choose what you will do regardless of the choices others make. There is only one rule. We all need to make sure our choices doesn't affect other peoples ability to make a choice that is best for them. You can choose to be a better you by choosing to respect the rights of others to choose.

Your Age determines what you see.
Through a child's eye the World is a fun magical place. As they become a teenager they see the World as a great big place they can explore. In their twenties they see the World as a vast open land at their disposal. As their thirties roll around they see the World has rules that they must follow. And Oh lordy as they turn forty they realize the World is full of hills and mountains they must climb. By the time they hit those nifty fifties they see the World as a big open space they could get lost in. As the sixties sneak up on them the World seems to be going on without them. Once they hit their seventies the World has become hard to navigate through and they realize the World has changed.

"Just do it" so you can forget about it
If it is something you have to do then "Just Do It." Complaining about it will only waste more time and energy. "Just Do It" so you can forget about it. The task you may be facing may only take an hour but if you spend hours before it complaining about it and hours after doing it complaining because you had to do it then you wasted half of your day. If you "Just Do It" forget about it then you will have the time and energy to do whatever you want to do. You can make things easier on yourself if you didn't make thing harder by wasting time complaining. Some people ask "why" things happen some people ask "how" it happened and some people "Just Do It." Which one are you?

The World won't get better on it's own
Sometimes when I watch my local news it seems like they are talking about some foreign country. It is hard to imagine that where I live there is unimaginable violence. In our neighborhood schools the violence has now reached even the elementary schools. There are no boundaries for the violence. People have been shot and killed while they wait at a red light, as they walk outside their front door and even children have been killed as they play in their bedroom. The World will not get better on it's own we all must do our part! I don't care how old you are or where you live do something, say something it will make a World of difference.
