You must ride out the storm
There are times when you feel like there is no way your situation can be turned around it's just to chaotic. Stop and take a deep breath and get somewhere quiet where you can sort things out in your mind without outside influences. Like a thunderstorm rolls in then the clouds roll away so too will the chaos in your life become calmer after you ride out the storm.

Leave something at a yard sale
As I did some spring cleaning I made a box of unwanted items that were great but I was never going to use them. Instead of going to the local thrift store to donate my items. I waited till the weekend and stopped at yard sales. The first person I felt had not much to sell but seemed to desperately need the money; I gave them the box from my car to help them make a few extra dollars. The thrift store clerk never seemed as happy as they were to get my junk. Try it some time- leave something at a yard sale.

Time to clear your mind
When a problem arises unexpectedly don't expect to have an answer right away. Take a day or two to think it through. Reacting to quickly could make matters worse. Just back away and look at it realistically and with a little time to clear your mind you can choose a reaction that will lead to a solution.

Give me a break
This economy gives new meaning to the phrase "give me a break." Just when you get through one dilemma and are about to relax here comes another issue to deal with. Give your mind and body a break from stress whenever and wherever you can. When you feel yourself about to explode with stress listen to your body when it tells you "give me a break." Give your mind and body what it needs.

Keep one goal in mind
It takes a lot of courage to work twice as hard for half of the money. Be proud of yourself for doing it. You are gaining knowledge on how to make your money stretch. Tough times can bring out your creative side as you figure out a way to make it through each crises. Keep one thing in mind that you won't do anything you will regret when the crises has passed.

That's just plain stupid
Nothing worth having is easy. Getting angry and blaming others will only make you physically sick. Sending your body into cardiac arrest over cheese on your hamburger is insane. Raising your blood pressure and tightening your muscles in anger over issues you could have avoided by just flushing it as it comes is just plain stupid. Your health is worth the effort it takes to "Just Flush It." Flush away a bad day.

Now that is relaxing
Watching the leaves as they glide and turn on their way down from a chair on your porch--now that is relaxing. Seeing a rainbow appear before you on a rainy day--now that is relaxing. It doesn't cost money nor do you have to go anywhere to relax. Wherever you are relax and enjoy the quiet peaceful moments even as the storm blows in. Let the rain wash away your stress--now that is relaxing.

You won't know until you ask
If you walk around like a know-it-all you won't learn anything along the way. Asking questions as you go will bring you knowledge that you only have because you asked. Admitting your ignorance opens doors to knowledge. If you want to learn the answer you have to ask the question first.

A bad economy is no excuse
Don't let this economy become an excuse for your bad behavior. What was wrong before is still wrong. Do things the right way and you will stay on the right path in life. Your character is based on what you are doing now to deal with the economy. Your choices now will determine your true character. Just who will you be when this crises is over?

Find your happy place
Some call it meditation, some call it yoga and some call you crazy when you go there. Call it what you want but being of sound mind means being smart enough to have the ability and a quiet place in your mind that you alone can go to and relax so you can decide clearly without outside influences what really is best and what will make you happy.

Be healthier and wealthier
Did you know that you could cook a home cooked meal in the same amount of time it takes you to go to a drive-thru and bring it home? It's true you will have to do the dishes but take the money you will save on gas just put it in a jar and your hard work will be rewarded with cash. Think about it you will eat healthier and be wealthier at the same time. When you eat the leftovers you will double your savings.

Focus on what's Important
Hang on tight this economy has not gotten as bad as it is gonna get. Decide what's most important and focus on keeping that. You can't give up if the rest gets blown away by the ripple effect the economy will have on each one of us. Stick to your personal standards so you can hold your head up high when and where you land when it's done.

Celebrate Independence from your past
This July 4th weekend bring special celebration of Independence in your own life. Break free from your past problems and worries. Stand loud and proud as you personally have freedom to start a new journey in your life. As Americans we are too blessed to be depressed.
