What will your New Year's resolution really mean?
We all make New Year's resolutions but most of the time they are words that are never followed by action. A new car won't start unless you use the key and turn it on. Even then you have to also put it in drive while pushing the brake. You still won't get anywhere until you let off the break and push the gas. Yet we forget that it will take many steps to achieve our resolutions. Keep your resolutions simple because you simply won't do it if you are unrealistic about what you can do. Traveling is dangerous on New Year's Eve so consider celebrating safely at home. If you decide to go out make your first resolution that you will make arrangements to get home safely. Happy New Year Everyone!

Leave it all behind, Just Flush It to start the New Year off right!
If you want to truly start fresh in the New Year you can't bring the negative stuff that is weighing heavy on your mind or your life will be the same just a different year. This year you need to be honest with yourself in order to know what really needs to be FLUSHED so it doesn't stink up your life when that BALL drops! You never know how many tomorrows you will have to enjoy.

Heat and enjoy
What a wonderful holiday weekend it has been. Clean up was even fairly simple. And the leftovers have been such a breeze to just pick and choose what to heat and enjoy. Its more variety to choose from than any other time of year. The desserts are given just as much attention as the dinner itself. As the visions of all the grandkids smiling faces dance in my head I get to sit back and relax nibbling all the tasty treats. While I ponder what the New Year will bring.

A cook is never hungry
The smell of Christmas is all through my house as the baking has begun. Tomorrow we will all gather to relax around the table and enjoy our holiday feast. The grandkids nibble as they excitedly talk about what they hope to get for Christmas. They will be up bright and early with anticipation. Getting them to eat when we gather for our Christmas breakfast when all they can think about is playing with their presents will be a challenge. I must admit I myself have a couple of their presents that I am excitedly waiting to play with them. Because Christmas brings out the kid in all of us. Merry Christmas everyone.

Now its time to kick iit n high gear
Shopping was the easy part and wrapping was a lot of fun. But now it's time to clean and get ready for everyone to come. Get the Christmas music playing to make the cleaning more enjoyable. And when you sit down to take a break you can enjoy the cheerfully decorated packages that brighten up the room. Visions of the smiling faces as they open their gifts dance in your mind until suddenly you realize breaks over time to get up and get things done. Soon St. Nick will be here.

Now I can tell them it is less than a week away than a week away
My grandkids have asked me how many days is it till Christmas since before Thanksgiving. Finally I could tell them today that it was less than a week away. Those words brought a look of surprise as you could watch their faces get plump and red as their grin grew. It was a magical moment that warms your heart. We all look forward to Christmas but a child looks forward to moments they have been dreaming about that soon will be here. Watching their faces on Christmas day is a present that is for you to enjoy the reason for the season.

Freaky Friday
Today is freaky Friday because its a Saturday. I got so busy yesterday that the next thing I knew it was Saturday. Traffic is getting all jammed up as people are rushing out to finish their Christmas shopping. Remember that if you can't afford to buy it then don't. Or you will have no Christmas joy knowing you will be making payments that you can't afford. There is joy in giving but not if you give gifts that hurt you financially. Expect the traffic jams that come during the Christmas season to stay holly and jolly as you drive in them.
