The truth may hurt but a lie could be devastating

Sometimes the truth can hurt but you truly know where you stand and you know what you have to work with. When someone lies to you it gives you false hopes that keep you waiting causing you to not look for another way to get done what you need. Sad part is most of the time they know they have no intentions of following through. Why can't they just give you an honest no so you know you need to keep looking for other alternatives? What is even scarier is that people can lie to your face and you can't even tell that they are lying. There are some people who even lie to themselves about what they have said or done so many times that they seem to believe it. If I lied my hands would become sweaty and my conscious would be telling me that wasn't right. You have to wander if there are people among us that have no conscious at all inside them.
