It takes years of experience

Knowing who has your back in case you fall takes years to know. You meet people throughout your life who you instantly have a connection with. But a connection and a bond are two different things. It takes years of experiences and many compromises along the way to build a bond. You are lucky if you have a handful of people over your lifetime that you truly have a bond with. You have to make the time to stay connected with each and everyone of them to stay bonded. Although text and Facebook keep you both up to date on each other making the time to call and hear their voice keeps you connected on a human level. If you can meet up with them to get a hug that feels way better than a facebook poke. To have that human bond you have to have human contact.
