Through the eyes of a child
I remember my father in law telling me about the day he realized he was old. I asked him well how old did you think you were when you realized you were old? He pondered the question for a while then he said in my mind I felt then just as I do now 18. My body got old but I always feel like I am 18 in my mind. I never thought much about that conversation until I was brushing my hair looking in a mirror and I thought to myself, you look like your 50 years old. Then I burst into a laughter after I realized I was 50. Then that conversation with my father in law, all those decades ago came to my mind. As I pondered the same question I had asked him and I had to agree in your mind you will always feel 18 but your body will always remind you just how old you really are.
