Ten seconds V.S. Ten years
I was waiting patiently, even though I didn't have time to spare. Then just as I was next in line the computer broke. I didn't have time to wait any longer. I had run out of time and patience to keep waiting. I was standing there trying to decide whether I should leave but thought that would mean the time I had already spent waiting was just a waste of my time. I was no longer waiting patiently. My blood pressure was rising. I could feel the tension building. Just then the computer was up and running again. I had waited patiently for five minutes. If only I could have did it for five minutes and ten seconds, I would have avoided the damage to my body from the high blood pressure. In the end waiting ten more seconds wouldn't have hurt me if I would have just kept patiently waiting. Getting angry didn't make my wait any shorter but it did shorten my life span.
