When it comes to Doctors you definitely want someone who has a NICE PERSONALITY.
You know you want someone that you don't have to dread seeing.
But they can't just be nice, they have to also be knowledgeable to keep you healthy.
Unfortunately the health care system has so many regulations and that leads to delays in receiving the medical care you need.
Insurance has so many steps and red tape issues that test get delayed being performed.
It can easily be done by a simple phone call between medical staff and insurance staff. Unfortunately no one just calls each other.
In stead they send an email and then they usually have up to a week or so to respond to any requests.
Not because they are overloaded with other requests and can't get it done, just because they let you know on a recorded message that it will take a week to do it so they ignore it for now.
So you have to make sure that any doctor that you choose is willing to call them and NICELY DEMAND your test aren't held back because of some red tape.
After decades of accepting that it takes weeks when a doctor orders test for you to get scheduled, I watched the new doctor have his secretary get someone on the phone and the test is scheduled for tomorrow.
Really? One phone call and it's scheduled the next day. That I thought was impossible. They always act as if it impossible for decades, and it isn't. OMG.
Well DOCTOR B, I want to thank You for picking up the phone and I sure wish you would teach other doctors how to pick up a phone to prevent the RED TAPE from getting in the way of your patient's health.
It is easy to ignore an email but a lot harder to ignore an actual human being.
Technology has a lot of benefits but it also has its disadvantages. And not having HUMAN CONTACT makes it easy to ignore the email.
Whether it is an email about medical, business or personal it's easy to ignore. You know you too see emails and say I don't want to deal with that I Will ignore it.
But if you connect in a HUMAN WAY you can't ignore it because you are HUMAN.
