You can't feel it unless you first have a thought about it
Obviously the moment it first happens you live it and feel it. Also Everytime you think about it, you relive it and feel it. After it happens you have to think about it to be honest whether it was positive or negative experience. If it was a positive experience, then you can plan on doing it again. But if it was a negative experience then learn what you need to do to make sure that it doesn't happen to you again. Then JUST FLUSH IT out of your mind before it can hurt you again. There will be times when something triggers the thought making it pop up front and center trying to grab your attention. So you will have to JUST FLUSH IT out of your mind at a quick glance, before you have to relive it and feel it again. It would be nice if as soon as you flushed it you would never think about it again. But realistically that is not possible. You will never forget what happened, but it can't hurt you again unless you choose to relive it over and over again. You can't have a feeling without first having a thought. That's why people say what you don't know won't hurt you. That is also why if it hurt you don't keep it fresh on your mind or it will hurt you again. Take the painful experiences from your past and JUST FLUSH IT so it doesn't stink up your future too.
