Make time for "small talk"

Through small talk you learn stepping stones and hidden dangers to a variety of things. They may not be questions that you have today but they may be the answers to the questions you may have later in life or the answer for someone asking you for advice one day. The simple conversations that you may have if you slow down to talk can make your life more care free by finding solutions as the conversation bounces from subject to subject opening up topics that are of interest to you that will help you free up more time to relax if you make the time for "small talk."

A quick glance

There are many ways to view a situation so don't make a decision based on a quick glance. At a glance you don't see the whole picture and you will have no idea what good can come and your reaction to the quick glance that angers you will change the outcome from a positive outcome to the negative one your actions out of anger will bring. You must take the good with the bad in most situations in life and if you get so angry about the bad parts then you will react badly and no good will be able to come from it.

One step closer

Someone must be the first to do something to get it started and create a starting point for others to join to get the ball rolling. There are many things that seem impossible but if you would make even a small step towards the task you would see that it is much easier now that you started the ball rolling. It can either gain momentum and keep rolling or at the very least it will be one step closer than it was. You will never get to the finish line of anything if you don't start.

Pick and choose your battles

In this day and age you definitely need to pick and choose your battles carefully. In a time when we are all facing so many battles at the same time we must save our energy for those battles that are most important so you will have the strength it will take to win them. You will wear yourself down if you fight for everything that you know ain't right. You may not win every battle that you choose to fight but you can still win the war if you stay focused on what is most important to you. You don't have to strive for a perfect outcome just the outcome that can work for you.

Spring clean your mind

You don't have to go to an expensive retreat to get away from the stress you are under, just make room in your mind by simply refusing to let the stressful thoughts that you keep fresh on your mind from past painful experiences take up all the room in your mind. You will have "peace of mind" when you make room for it. Don't let what has happened in your past stink up your future too. "Just Flush It" out of your mind like you do all the clutter during Spring Cleaning.

You are a teacher and a farmer

You teach compassion to others by being compassionate.
You teach honesty by being honest.
You teach sharing by always sharing.
You teach others how to be happy by being happy when you are with them.
You teach patience by being patient.
Every interaction you have with others shows them therefore may teach them something. What are you teaching others? Plant seeds of kindness as you go through your day because it is true YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.

Too big to climb

How you react to your problems will determine how big the problem will be. Take the time to think about it before you let a minor set back in life become something that will affect you negatively in a major way. Remember the old saying "anyone can make a mountain out of a molehill if they keep adding dirt." Acknowledge the problem for what it is and simply see it as a small mole hill that you can simply step over and don't react with anger that can turn it into a mountain too big to climb.
