You shouldn't be able to get your medical degree until you pass not only a written test but a test to see if you have compassion. Just because you were a good student for 8 years and you passed all the test doesn't make you a good doctor. A good doctor has compassion for people and want to make them feel comfortable and confident that they care. Today I experienced a doctor for my son and he had no bed side manners at all. I am in his office literally biting my tongue not to let him know his attitude and remarks we're just rude and hurtful. Unfortunately if you say something you know it will only make his attitude worse towards you at your next visit. But a nagging voice in my head keeps saying if no one ever points it out to him, he will always do it. Even if I do say something he seemed so rude and arrogant that I don't think he will ever change. We have to go back for a recheck next week and I am hoping he can be a little more pleasant to be around. I hope that he one day realizes that for anyone's over all good health that he treats, they need him to treat them and talk to them with compassion and kindness. No matter what profession you are in you should always be kind to everyone you meet because you have no idea what they are facing.
