Be thankful so you can grin and bear it

As I found myself complaining about all the rain today I quickly stopped myself and started saying thank goodness all I have to deal with is a little rain. Throughout your life you realize the situations you face may be trying at times but there are many others that are facing much worse situations. You may not have everything you want but if you have everything you need you are lucky. As hurricane Harvey rages on shore in Texas it is a reminder that mother nature has a lot of power. Although the meteorologist predicted accurately right where it would make landfall no one knew just how much devastation the storm would bring. Several years ago when hurricane Katrina rolled into Louisiana we weren't prepared for the widespread flooding. We learned a lot from that disaster and thank goodness the military was called in to help and arrived before the storm had even made landfall. Our thoughts and prayers go out to those living in It's path.
