Start off fresh
We are just hours away from the end of 2014. By now you have thought about what a year it has been for you. Have you thought about what your New Years Resolution will be to make 2015 a great year? It is an important decision if you really want your resolution to make a positive difference. If you choose wisely then it becomes a Fresh Start to a New Year. Which starts by taking all the hard painful experiences in 2014 and "Just Flush It" out of your mind in order to have a truly Fresh start because if you bring with you all that baggage from what stunk up your past it will only stink up your future. It's a New Year and you are alive and that is something to Cheer about! Happy New Year Everyone!

Flush to stay Healthy
Hope everyone had a nice Christmas. I sure am looking forward to eating the leftovers. And that means a break from cooking for a couple days. Although it is still a few days from the end of 2014 it feels like it is over now that Christmas is over. I begin planning what I hope to do in 2015. Without a doubt every one of us hope to be Healthy but it requires work on your part to achieve. You will have to eat right and get plenty of exercise and rest to be Healthy. But just as important is maintaining good Mental Health as well. So take all the painful memories and experiences from 2014 and "Just Flush It" out of your mind to stay Mentally Healthy.

Laughter will fill the air
Don't forget the reason for the season. Spending time with those you love makes it so holly and jolly. And all the delicious food is calorie free well at least it is a time when you don't count calories. So go ahead and try a little of everything. Some of the food is only made on the Christmas holiday so enjoy it while it is there. Soon everyone will be humming along to the Christmas music and laughter will fill the air. Then when the Holiday is over all that beautiful paper and bows will be filled in bags which I am sure the trash man is not as happy to see as those that were happy to remove it to get what was hiding inside.

Happy holidays
Christmas is just days away whether you are ready or not. Too bad everyone couldn't have a present to not be sick in December. Luckily germs can't pass through cyberspace so I can safely wish you all a Merry Christmas.

A free facelift
You may have a lot of love in your heart but can anyone see it or feel it? When you are upset it shows on your face. And take it from me it's not your best look. Share a smile instead. As they say a smile is a free facelift and you want to look your best. Smile at everyone you meet for you have no idea what they may be facing. A simple smile can do a lot of good for you and the person you give one to.

Don't forget the batteries
Tomorrow will be the last week before Christmas. Are you ready? Even though I always think I am ready way before time there is always "just a couple more" things I need to get. This is the time when I am not sure if I will have enough tape and paper so I pick out paper that is "not so Christmassy" so I can use what is left on birthdays throughout the year. Although even a present in July wrapped in Santa paper is still enjoyed. I bought every size of batteries in big packages because a toy on Christmas without batteries to a child is a bummer. Happy Holidays Everyone!

I could feel their Joy
It sure was fun putting up all the Christmas decorations. Even shopping was more relaxing at the stores this year. The people I encountered at the stores were full of cheer and not pushy at all like previous years. Even the people working at the stores were easy to find and usually they are no where to be found. There were several who even went out of their way to help us find what we were looking for. What a difference it makes to encounter good karma from others as you go through your day. Sure wish this Christmas Joy could be spread all year long making all our futures merry and bright. Remember as you are shopping that you should be holly and jolly and that it can be felt from other shoppers even if you still get frustrated while doing it.

Precious memories are moments we live together
My grandson wanted a leopard gecko and even though I knew he was probably too young he convinced his grandpa to give me the money to get him one. So off we went to the pet stores looking for a baby one. We already had a tank and the accessories so at least it wouldn't cost us much. He had done a pretty good job with it these past two months and we were surprised. Last week they got their fresh Christmas tree and spent hours decorating it. By the time that it took them to put the empty boxes for decorations back into the attic my grandson had taken the gecko out of his cage and put it on the tree because he thought his gecko would like it. Well in the frantic search to find him to put it back in the tank the Christmas tree got knocked over. But they couldn't yell at him because he was crying over loosing his gecko. Here it was three days later and he knocked the tree down again looking for him but again they couldn't yell at him because he was crying about loosing his gecko. They thought about buying him a new one to pretend they found him to keep him out of the Christmas tree but he remembers every stripe on his gecko buddy's body so he would know it wasn't him. I find myself giggling deep inside as I watch my grown son as a Father go through one of those crazy memories that he and his children will have forever. Children sure say and do the funniest things.

From a closet to a "Treasure Chest"
All year long starting at the after Christmas clearance sales I buy gifts at an amazing price. Each time I pick something up I would start stacking it in my closet. All throughout the year for birthdays and special occasions I dig in my closet that becomes a "treasure chest" to find a gift. There are times that even I am surprised at what I find there that I had completely forgotten about. At Christmas time as I pull everything out sorting to who the gifts are for I discover that my closet suddenly becomes bigger. Every single thing that I have purchased throughout the year comes out and gets wrapped. But I know that as the New Year rings in my closet will become a "Treasure chest" again. Happy Holidays Everyone!

"Shame on you!"
I can't believe that there are those who will be deceitful even at this time of year. Christmas is a Holiday who's Joy can be felt for twenty five days straight. As I was yard selling this Saturday I thought I found some awesome gifts for two of my grandkids and my husband at only ten dollars each. What a bargain I thought I was getting for two tablets with tons of games already downloaded on them (or so he said) and a GPS and for thirty you can't beat that. When I got home and tried them NOT one of them worked. Really? Someone would sell items that didn't work knowing you were buying them for Christmas presents. To the man who sold them to me :Shame on You!" I wish I could remember where that yard sale was so I could tell him in person "Shame on You!"

Time is ticking faster
As a young child the faster Christmas comes the better. For those that are more than a half a century old the faster it comes only makes us feel worse not better. Don't get me wrong we love Christmas and look forward to the joyous Family Time it is just that we realize that as each Christmas comes it brings us closer to a New Year. And when you know you only have so many years to enjoy Life on this Earth you want time to slow down. Although you can not choose how fast time goes you can choose to enjoy every second you are alive while you are alive in between each Christmas as the years are flying by.

My Lab chose the Christmas decorations this year
Now while I was putting ornaments on my Christmas tree I see my not yet one year old lab sniffing at the ones I just hung on the tree. This may sound innocent but this is the same dog who has destroyed everyone's shoes, countless number of my granddaughters dolls, a vacuum and TV wires and my couch and my two chairs. I know this means my precious ornaments were not safe. I wasn't going to take a chance so most of the ornaments are on the top two thirds of the tree. The bottom part I have decided to put whatever I find at my local thrift store. Why? Because I know she is going to eat at least some of them and I hope she eats only the ones I am putting at the bottom that are hers just so she can eat them and leave mine alone. Then I realize I can't put any presents under the tree because she would eat them. This new addition to our family is changing our family traditions.

Stay Jolly by planning on traffic jams
To enjoy the Christmas Holidays you got to plan on dealing with the traffic. Normal driving times that you are use to are unpredictable during the Christmas Season. I have to allow so much time just in case the traffic is backed up that when I get lucky and miss the Holiday traffic I end up way too early to my destination. I try to keep in mind little places I can visit within a few blocks of where I am scheduled so "just in case" I will have something to do close by which makes being early not so frustrating since there was no traffic jams to be frustrated over. Being prepared to deal with the Holiday traffic will keep you Holly and Jolly so you can enjoy the Christmas Holiday.
