They failed to help themselves

There are times when you do all you can to help someone but they still fail because they fail to help themselves. There are just some people who choose to be where they are and no matter what anyone does that is where they will stay. If you want to make a difference by helping someone make sure they want things to be different. If they think that they are owed something there is little doubt that they can't be helped. Those that ask for nothing will gain the most from your help.
