The choice is yours
What you will choose will either lead to good things or it will lead to bad things. Every choice you make matters. Stop look and listen. Don't just blindly pick a reaction. Think about where it will lead you. A smooth short path that is under construction will get you further than a long bumpy road that leads to nowhere.

Mood swings
Thinking of happy times helps promote happiness in the present. If a memory comes up that is bringing you down--Flush it if you can. If a certain song makes you smile then listen to it when you need to. Start your day with a happy thought and chances are you'll have a good day. Your mood affects the mood of those around you.

There are many shades of blue
Sunrise and sunset create a light show among the clouds. Each view north, south, east and west are like four different pictures for you to enjoy. I never knew that there was so many shades of blue. Nor that the same cloud depending on how you look at it can be white, yellow, orange or even shades of red. Like the stroke of a paint brush on a canvas for all to enjoy. When you can stop and count how many colors you can see. Relax and enjoy the clouds.

Spice up a boring day
When you are bored you have too much time to dwell on problems--and that could get you in trouble. Find a hobby, tackle a weekend project, or a cause to get involved in to stay busy. Keeping your mind occupied on rewarding, relaxing, fun, or even hard work on a task will not only benefit you but will make you a more pleasant person to be around. Your mood affects the mood of those around you.

Let the sun shine in
How will you know when opportunity knocks or a new door is opened if your past has blocked the door? Piece by piece one thought at a time you'll remove what you don't need and clear a path that will open new doors. You would see a light at the end of the tunnel if your past wasn't blocking it. "Just Flush It"

The color of your hair doesn't matter
Everyone has advice to give you on what you should do. The answer is different from each person you ask. What works for someone else may not work for you. Look inside yourself for the answers for you know you best. Make choices and changes that you can live with. Changing your hair from red to blue doesn't change what's inside you.

Watch out for the smirks
It is often the ones who look so meek and full of smiles that will destroy you. The two faced snake is dangerous. They seem harmless then they catch you off guard and they strike with deadly force without warning. They get their ammo from you as they lure you in with their friendly disguise then wham. Looks can be deceiving. That smile was really a smirk. Beware of the two faced snake. Don't give them ammo to use against you.

Do nothing and nothing will change
You can make a difference but only if you try. Your one voice can make a change but only if you say something. A random act of kindness can make someones life better but only if you do something will they feel it. Your words of wisdom could save someone but only if you tell them. Say something, do something. The world ain't going to get better on it's own. We all must do our part.

Accept your flaws
Make a decision when you start your day to see things for what they really are. As you brush your teeth in front of your mirror accept your flaws that you cannot change or be washed away. You can't feel comfortable in your own skin until you are comfortable with the skin your in. The truth may hurt but it will set you free.

Don't spread it
Some days we can't flush away a bad day. We are just too weak to use the plunger. That can happen to us all. There is a time to talk and it can help. There is a time to listen and it can help someone else. And then there is a time when you should be alone. You wouldn't spread the flu to others and anger makes you sick so don't spread it.

The key is to open the door
Gray is the color of places of confinement. Don't walk around only seeing gray---Break free and dare to dream in color. You can see a rainbow even on a gray cloudy rainy day. You can enjoy the sound of the rain but only if you listen. You will see a light at the end of the tunnel but only if your looking. Opportunity will knock but only if you open your ears and eyes will you know and open the door.

Birds do it too
For years now the squirrels and birds of many colors have eaten my dog food on my front porch. Every time you look out the window your sure to catch them in the act. Usually the birds are grown-ups but this year the Blue Bird taught her children to eat the dog food as soon as they were old enough to fly. The freezing cold record breaking temperatures have made worms and bugs unreachable. Even the animals have to adjust to survive the obstacles that are thrown their way.

Back and fourth we go
Sometimes we go one step forward and fall two steps back. You have to remember how far down you would be at this rate if you hadn't taken those steps forward. It's happening one step at a time and with each baby step you will grow stronger and eventually you'll get where you want to be. It's ok to think big but you must take the steps necessary to get there if you plan on moving forward at all.

Adjust your thermostat and your life accordingly
As the sun beats down on me today and I begin to get uncomfortably hot I remember just yesterday it was so cold I was uncomfortable. Not just season to season or even month to month but daily we must adjust to what comes our way. True happiness doesn't happen just because we're born. It comes to those that have sucessfully navigated through life's obstacles by learning to adjust.
