When your thoughts are weighing you down you got to distract yourself so you can forget about them.
No matter where you are your imagination and creativity and even nature, can change your thoughts so you can feel the weight being lifted.
When I was waiting for my car to get fixed I began to get stressed wandering how much the repair was going to cost.
Then within a few minutes I began to worry that while they worked on it they could find more that was wrong.
I tried to stop the avalanche of negative thoughts that was flooding in but sitting in their waiting room was keeping it fresh on my mind.
I decided it was time to walk outside and let nature distract me so I could JUST FLUSH IT out of my mind.
The gentle wind that was blowing greeted me the moment I stepped out.
Although I could hear the traffic because it was on a busy road, I could also hear a bird chirping in the trees that were at the edge of the property.
I decided to walk closer to the trees to see what other nature was there to enjoy.
It didn't take long to notice a variety of insects that lived just feet away from the busy street.
I am not sure how long I was outside enjoying nature but it was long enough because the next thing I know my car was fixed and ready.
When you need to distract yourself from an avalanche of negative thoughts just go outside and let nature ease your mind.
