Sometimes when you are being honest about the situation you can't help but feel embarrassed

With my friends blessing I will share the experience she had just had. It all started when one of her children recently had their dryer stop working. With two young children they really needed a dryer. Like many people they couldn't afford $500 to buy a new one. So my friend and her daughter in law started posting on social media that they were in need of a used dryer. My friend found one for twenty dollars and it was located only 10 miles away from them. She made arrangements with the seller and told him they will excitedly be by to pick it up right away. She called her son to tell him she found one and she would loan him her truck and give him the twenty dollars to get it. She assumed he would be as excited as she was that finally they would have a dryer again. But instead of saying that is great mom thank you I will be right over his reaction was I can't do it today. He continued with it is my only day off this week and I am relaxing having a family day. She told him the man was waiting for them and the only day he could do it was his day off. But to her surprise he refused to go pick it up. Reluctantly and feeling embarrised she called the man who was selling her the dryer to tell him she was sorry she couldn't physically pick up dryer herself and her son was being lazy and ungrateful and didn't show any interest in helping. So she appreciated the opportunity to help her son and his family but he should put it back up for sale. To my friends surprise the gentleman told her don't be embarrassed and he would help her to help her son and his young family just like she had intended. He told her it would be his good deed for the week. He said I will deliver it to his house at no charge and I will even hook it up for them. Within minutes the gentleman showed up at her sons door and hooked up the dryer and disappeared like Santa in the blink of an eye. Her story is a great way to inspire all of us to get into the habit of doing like that kind gentleman and do one good deed a week. What a positive difference that would make in someone's life. She may never see him again but his kindness she will never forget. And thanks to that gentleman she can feel pride that she was able to make sure her son and his family had a dryer. On behalf of them all I would like to thank that gentleman for helping my dear friend.
