Big things come in small packages

Make it a point to say something kind or smile at one person each day. If you don't get out everyday just look in the mirror and smile because you are alive. Don't miss out on life's little joys while you wait for something big to happen to make you happy. Big things don't come often if they come at all. Big things do however come in small packages. Enjoy life's little joys each day and pass on a smile as you go through your day.

Losing the stress is a victory

Many people are suffering mentally and physically trying to hang on to a mortgage that they can't afford to pay now. In many cases they owe more than the homes current value. Don't make yourself sick just accept the loss and live stress free in a home you can afford comfortably. It's not a bad thing to lose the stress but a victory to celebrate.

One moldy strawberry

As I sat in the waiting room of the dentist I was trying to understand how what started as a mild discomfort in one tooth now three days later has caused major pain and became unbearable in every tooth on my lower jaw and swelling in my neck and cheek. How can one bad tooth take over my quality of life? The same is true if you leave one bad past person or problem in your life they will cause havoc in all areas of your life. If you leave a moldy strawberry in a container of good ones if it is not removed immediately the mold will spread quickly ruining them all.

A storm can bring relief

As the thunder roared and shook the house and the lightning struck you could feel the house rumble. Errands would just have to wait the rain was coming down so hard visibility for driving is too dangerous. As I waited out the storm I sat in awe of the power in the thunder to shake the earth. In minutes it passed and the soothing relief from the heatwave replaced the annoying delay it caused. The storms in your life although scary shall too pass and can bring relief.

The answer isn't always clear

Foe five days in a row the forecast was cloudy with 30% chance of rain. My grandson would ask me everyday will it rain today? He waited for the rain and on the fifth day he said when will it be our turn to be the 30% who get rain? I had no real answer for him no more than I do for those who are waiting for a chance to get ahead financially in this bad economy. When your chance for rain will come isn't always clear.

Wating for what you need

If we meet in the middle then we will both be half way there. Waiting until you get exactly what you want could leave you waiting for what you need. Compromise that will get you at least what you need will be a step in the right direction that will put you closer to what you want as long as it doesn't compromise your integrity. You may not be able to run but you can walk to where you need to be one step at a time.

Stay out of the crater

You may be doing something that is causing unpleasant outcomes but once your eyes are wide open to see the negative affect you clearly know it is a problem and you can not continue that behavior without knowing that it is wrong. You must learn from your mistakes if you want a better outcome. You can't shut your eyes once they are open because the crater that you discovered is still there to fall into. You should keep your eyes wide open so you can safely go around it.
