Meet in the middle

Every relationship takes give and take. It doesn't matter if it is a business relationship or a personal relationship. You need to meet in the middle if it is going to work out. Call it compromise, negotiation, fairness, meeting in the middle, or whatever you want to call it. It won't work out unless both sides are happy with the outcome. You will have to listen to what each of you need then you will know how you can meet in the middle. Also you listen so you know where exactly the middle is or if a middle could even be possibly reached. It's like each side building half of the bridge to meet in the middle without deciding together where to start so each side lines up together. Starting a mile away from each other will leave both of you with a bridge half built that leads both of you nowhere. To work it out you got to work out a compromise that works for everyone.
