The ailments they are supposed to help you with minor but their side effects are severe. Unless it is a medicine that treats a life threatening illness you have then don't take it or the side affects could put you in a life or death situation. Just listen to any medicine commercial and you will wander how on earth it even got approved by the FDA. The health risk is not a risk you or someone you love should take.
