A chance for change.

As we are nearing the end of 2015 we need to take a moment to sit down and reflect on all that has happened this year. The things you have faced and experienced both good and bad will lead you to the direction you want to go in the new year so you can make a plan. The New Year is a chance to make a change to make a difference between last year and what the coming year will be for you. If you don't change anything you do then it will be same old stuff just a different year.

Make a plan not a resolution

Christmas is over and the leftovers from all the food is gone. All the trash is set out for the garbage man to take away. As New Years approaches be sure to Flush all the garbage that has been weighing heavy on your mind all year just like you throw away the trash after Christmas. If you want to enjoy the New Year make a plan and stick to it not make a resolution that you have no intention of doing.

Happiness filled the air

Merry Christmas everyone! Every Christmas it seems we have to dig through the trash because something got thrown away in all the chaos. To avoid that we planned a spot for each person and stacked their presents. Each child was by a grown up who had a garbage bag. We quickly bagged the trash and took straight outside. We then bagged up everyone's gifts so they could open at home so they wouldn't lose part of it. As.my son was leaving he said you did get both.if those gift cards taped to the outside of your present didn't you? And there I go searching the trash to find my second gift card.

When will the Holiday shopping traffic jams end?

All this bumper to bumper traffic will come to an end as the shopping has to come to an end because tomorrow is Christmas Eve. Tomorrow as everyone gathers it is a time focused more on the conversations with family and friends. A time to catch up as you eat dinner while listening to some Christmas music. And no matter what the temperature is outside where you live, you can envision the snow as Elvis starts singing I'm dreaming of a white Christmas. The older you are the more you can't wait till Christmas Morning to watch everyone open their presents. Wishing everyone a Holly Jolly Christmas!

Pack your Silk Stockings!

There is a cold chill in the air reminding us it is almost Christmas. As you bundle up remember several thin layers will allow you to bend your arms while it keeps you warm. Did you know that back in the olden days they use to make a pair is stockings a part of a soldiers survival kit ? It's true. You see the different thin weaves prevented the wind from finding its way in. They had to remain mobile so no heavy thick coats that could prevent their swift movements that were necessary. Happy Holidays Everyone and stay warm!

Eye candy that is yummy for your tummy.

Someone gave me a recipe the other day to try on Christmas. It was a pretty normal recipe for a cake with whip cream instead of icing until she said to crumble the cake layers. When I asked why she said it was easier to just spoon out to serve. Also the punch bowl with all the different colored layers of ingredients made a festive look on your table. I don't own a punchbowl but I will get some kind of glassware and decorate my Christmas Dinner Table to give them "candy for their eyes" and "yummy for their tummy".

Be relaxed so you can enjoy it!

Christmas is just days away now. I want to remind all of you that it is not about going into debt or spending your bill money to buy presents. Everyone that is a grown up certainly doesn't need anything nor do they want you to nor expect you to. They do however expect some good food they can eat. They hope you will be in a jolly festive mood not stressed out about the cost of the presents you got them. The reason for the season is to spend time together enjoying each others company and of course the food.

Help them get unclogged

Far too many people are so clogged that they lose hope. Their minds are so full that they don't have room to even dream of a brighter future. You don't have to solve all their problems to help them. Just help them Learn "how to" FLUSH anything they can to help clear their mind some. Then they will have room to dream and they will have hope of a brighter future. Send a smile their way and it will distract them long enough to catch their breath so they have the oxygen they need to FLUSH AWAY A BAD DAY.

Should you or shouldn't you?

Most of the time if you have to keep thinking about whether you should do something or not then you probably shouldn't. Of course every decision you make you need to think about before you react to anything. But if you have to keep debating whether you should or shouldn't over and over again then deep down inside you know you shouldn't. When you feel it deep in the pit of your stomach it's not always gas it's your built in warning system trying to stop you from making a mistake. Sometimes what you are about to do could majorly affect your life in a negative way. Yet the warning goes off when you are Christmas shopping too to stop you from spending too much money for things that people don't need or even want.

Please no more gifts!

Now is the perfect time to do spring cleaning even though it is winter time. As Christmas approaches you realize your house is overflowing with stuff. While you are doing your shopping for others you realize now that they are all older even the grandkids have more toys then their parents have room for. Which makes shopping for them harder. It is time to start buying gift cards for everyone. When they ask me what I want I keep telling them PLEASE don't buy me anything because there is nothing I need and no where to put anymore Holiday Gifts. It's true when people tell you they don't want anything. All they want is for you to come by eat and spend time together.

A Christmas Scarecrow

Although there is no snow it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas. All the decorations are up and the presents are wrapped, at least the ones I have bought so far. But I can't put the presents under the tree again this year because my two year old lab hasn't stopped chewing things. Last year I had to keep them in another room. This year I have some large tall boxes that I can hide them away from her in. I am going to decorate each big box into a robot. I usually make smaller robots out of smaller gifts but this year as my lab has grown so big I have to make big tall robots to hopefully work like a scarecrow and keep her away from eating the presents.

It means something different

Although I live in one of the warmest states, I dread the cold front that is moving in. To my uncle who lives up north it is beautiful fall weather considering the temperatures barely get above freezing when it is winter there. But still to me it feels like winter. The same is true for the different circumstances we each face. A car repair to one person can be as devastating when you don't have the money to get it repaired as much as a stock market crash is to someone who is wealthy. What might seem manageable to one person may seem impossible to someone else.

Leave one to spread it

When you think of Christmas it brings such peaceful, happy, loving and compassionate feelings. Unlike the other Holidays of the year that we celebrate, you feel that jolly for two or three weeks not just for a day. If only those emotions could be felt all 365 days a year we would have World Peace. All it would take for World Peace is to simply be compassionate and loving which will make you feel peaceful and happy. I figured if we all try by leaving one small Christmas decoration up where everyone can see it all year long it would spread peace to one person at a time .
